What to Expect with Invisalign

Invisalign aligners are custom-made to gently move your teeth into the right position. Each set is worn for 1–2 weeks, for 20–22 hours a day. You’ll change aligners at home and visit us periodically to track your progress.

First Few Days: Getting Comfortable

During the first few days, it’s common to feel slight pressure or discomfort as your teeth begin shifting. This usually fades quickly. Speaking might feel different initially, but your tongue will adjust within a day or two. Always keep your aligners in (except when eating or brushing) to stay on schedule.

Daily Care Tips

Wear Time

Wear your aligners for 20–22 hours per day for best results. Only remove them for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, or flossing.

Cleaning Aligners

Rinse them every time you take them out. Use a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water to gently clean them daily. Avoid using toothpaste, which can scratch the surface.

Oral Hygiene

Brush and floss after every meal to keep your teeth and aligners clean and clear. This helps prevent stains and bad breath.
